Join Us in Celebrating a Landmark Year for Finnish Jazz!
The year 2026 marks the centennial of jazz’s symbolic arrival in Finland aboard the ship Andania. It will be a historic jubilee for Finnish jazz: the Jazz in Finland 100 Anniversary Year. The arrival of jazz had a significant impact on the development of Finnish popular music and culture.
The Finnish Jazz Federation invites and encourages everyone involved in the arts and culture to take part in the anniversary celebrations — whether through large or small events, or by highlighting jazz in any form. The goal of the Jazz in Finland 100 year is to spotlight Finnish jazz and its artists both in Finland and internationally.
We hope you’ll join us in celebrating this major milestone in jazz by incorporating Finnish jazz into your 2026 event calendar in the way that best suits you.
Today, Finnish jazz is more diverse and vibrant than ever, and our musicians are of international top quality!
