One of the most highly regarded jazz guitarists and composers of his generation, Lage Lund will visit Finland as part of the Jazz Finland Residency, with his residency divided into two periods. The first residency period will take place from 12–18 October 2026, followed by the second from 31 January–11 February 2027.

During his October 2026 residency, Lund will perform with the UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra in Sipoo on 16 October and in Helsinki on 17 October.

He rose to international prominence after winning the prestigious Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz Competition in 2005. Since then, he has established himself as a leading voice in the genre, releasing several acclaimed albums and collaborating with many of the biggest names in jazz. He has also been named a Rising Star – Guitar in the DownBeat Critics’ Poll, while jazz great Pat Metheny has named Lund one of his favourite guitarists.
