Municipal and Regional Election Panel on the Music Industry at Musiikkitalo
The “Kauas kantavaa kasvua” event is an experiential municipal and regional election day for the music industry at Musiikkitalo. The panel discussion will explore how music can serve as a source of vitality at the local level. The panel can also be followed via live stream.
The party leadership panel, starting at 2:30 PM in Musiikkitalo’s Terrace Foyer, will seek solutions for how music can contribute to local vitality. How do children’s and young people’s opportunities for musical hobbies and music education shape the future? How can the use of music improve well-being? How can music be integrated into municipal services? How do live music and events foster entrepreneurship, jobs, and vitality? And most importantly: how can we create a winning formula for all this?
Participants in the panel include leaders from major parliamentary parties:
Anders Adlercreutz, Minister of Education, Party Chair (Swedish People’s Party)
Atte Harjanne, Member of Parliament, Parliamentary Group Chair (Green League)
Veronica Honkasalo, Member of Parliament, Party Vice Chair (Left Alliance)
Hilkka Kemppi, Member of Parliament, Party Vice Chair (Centre Party)
Nasima Razmyar, Member of Parliament, Party Vice Chair (Social Democratic Party)
Mari-Leena Talvitie, Minister of Science and Culture (National Coalition Party)
The panel will be moderated by journalist and media influencer Maria Veitola.
The panel will take place in the Terrace Foyer of Musiikkitalo (address: Mannerheimintie 13 A, Helsinki) and can also be followed via live stream.
On the same day, Musiikkitalo will also be hosting a “musical play school day”, featuring an instrument path at 10.00–14.00 – the venue will be buzzing with music and families. Check the full program on Musiikkitalo’s website here.
